Helen’s Coasters
These coasters are a little homage to one of the matriarchs of crafting in our family. She was very talented with knitting and cross stitch and all kinds of other crafty pursuits, but crochet was always her favourite. There were two things she made a lot of, baby blankets and these coasters, named after her.

These charming crochet coasters are a little nod to one of the matriarchs of our crafting family. She was a master of all things fiber—knitting, cross-stitch, and anything else with a needle—but crochet was always her favorite. And when she wasn’t making baby blankets, she was whipping up these coasters. So, naturally, we had to name them after her.
Simple, versatile, and endlessly customizable, these coasters work up quickly and look amazing in any color scheme. In our house, we’ve made them in cozy fall hues, romantic Valentine’s shades, and festive Christmas colors. But you could go bold, pastel, or even match them to your couch—whatever suits your vibe!
Whether you’re a beginner looking for a fun first project or a seasoned crocheter in need of a quick gift, this pattern has you covered.
