Want to match your dog but have things to do this week?

Meet the Merry & Happy Bows.

These sweet little knitted bows are the fastest route to becoming those people who match their dogs which, around here, is very much a compliment.

Make one for yourself and one for your pup. Your bow can be worn in your hair or around your wrist, while your dog’s slides right onto their collar.

Put it at the front: tiny bow tie.

Slide it to the back: congratulations, your dog is now a present.

Honestly, there is no bad option here.

Merry & Happy Bows use basic knitting stitches and an i-cord, so they come together quickly and are a very satisfying way to use up those mysterious little balls of leftover yarn you absolutely refused to throw away.

Your moment has arrived, tiny yarn scraps.

The pattern can be worked in DK or chunky yarn, or you can hold sock-weight yarn double. Dig through your stash, pick something cute, and start accessorizing the dog.

How to Wear Them

For you:
Wear your bow in your hair or around your wrist.

For your dog:
Slide the bow onto their collar and wear it at the front as a bow tie or at the back for the full “someone wrapped my dog for Christmas” effect.

Why Make Just One?

They’re quick.

They use scraps.

They’re cute.

And matching your dog with approximately 3% of the effort required to knit matching sweaters is simply excellent time management.

Make them festive. Make them in your favourite colours. Make enough for your dog to have a completely unreasonable accessory wardrobe.

We support this behaviour.

This listing is for a digital knitting pattern, not finished bows.
