A little scrappy, a little cozy, and a whole lot of personality!

The Come As You Are Cowl is a fun, beginner-friendly crochet pattern that’s all about making the most of the yarn you already have. Designed with leftover yarn in mind, this cozy little accessory is the perfect excuse to go stash diving, mix your favourite colours, and turn those odds and ends into something you’ll actually wear!

The beauty of this pattern is its flexibility. While the original design uses chunky yarn for the body and worsted weight yarn for the edging, you can experiment with different yarn weights, hold lighter strands together, or combine colours and textures for a completely unique look.

And because this design is easy to adapt, you can even make a matching version for your four-legged best friend. Because coordinating with your dog never goes out of style!

Make It Your Own!

There’s no need to buy new yarn for this one! The Come As You Are Cowl was designed to celebrate the little leftovers and forgotten skeins hiding in your yarn collection.

Try holding two strands of lighter-weight yarn together, playing with unexpected colour combinations, or mixing yarn weights to create something entirely your own.

For the edging, choose a yarn approximately one weight lighter than the yarn used for the main cowl. This creates a lovely contrast and gives your finished piece a beautiful finishing touch.

Whether you keep it simple with two coordinating colours or embrace a wonderfully mismatched, scrappy look, the Come As You Are Cowl is all about having fun with what you’ve got.

Grab your crochet hook, raid your yarn stash, and make something cozy that’s completely you!
