A berry sweet little make
A pop of magenta, two little green leaves, and a strap to slip over your fingers. Berry Bliss is a cheerful little addition to a spa-inspired gift basket or a tiny treat to keep for yourself.
Pair it with a bar of soap and a soft face cloth for a handmade gift with a little personality. The berry uses about 17 yards of yarn, with just a little green for the leaves.
Gather your little bits of happy
- Berry: Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton in Magenta, approximately 17 yards.
- Leaves: approximately 2 yards of green yarn. The sample leaves use acrylic DK; Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton in Granny Smith is suggested.
- Hook: 4.5 mm.
- A yarn needle for sewing on the leaves and weaving in ends, and scissors.

Instructions in parentheses are worked into the same stitch. Repeat the sequence between asterisks the number of times stated.
The berry
- 6 sc in MR. (6)
- 2 sc in each st. (12)
- *sc, (dc, sc) in one st, dc, (sc, dc) in one st* × 3. (18)
- *dc, sc, (dc, sc) in one st* × 6. (24)
- *sc, (dc, sc) in one st, dc, (sc, dc) in one st* × 6. (36)
- Sc around the full edge. (36)
The strap
- Ch 15. Work 14 sc along the chain. Sl st to the first sc of the last round.
- Sl st to the next sc (the 2nd sc of the last round), turn work, and work 14 sc along the strap.
Sl st to connect the side of the strap to the opposite end of the scrubbie (st 17/18). Tie off and weave in ends.
The leaves · Make two
Ch 10.
- Sl st, sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc, sl st.
- Rotate work 180° and repeat Row 1 along the other side of the chain.
Ch 1 and tie off. Sew both leaves onto the back of the scrubbie, just above the strap.
