These crochet coasters are a little homage to one of the matriarchs of our crafting family.
She could knit, cross stitch, and turn her hand to all kinds of crafty pursuits, but crochet was always her favourite. Two things showed up again and again from her hook: baby blankets and these coasters. So naturally, the coasters ended up carrying her name.
The pattern itself is simple, practical, and beginner-friendly — the kind of small project you can make quickly, use every day, and easily turn into a full set. They’re also a lovely way to use up small amounts of DK yarn or make a handmade gift without committing to a giant project.
