A simple and fun first time dog sweater and sock yet made using sock yarn, held double for the dog sweater, perfect for chilly morning walks.

ARCADE NIGHTS DOG SWEATER

This sweater is knit top down, in the round with a colorful rib trim and stranded colourwork yoke. Instructions for the optional leash hole are included after the first colourwork motif. This pattern can be made using bits of scrap yarn for the colourwork.

The armholes are first knit flat in scrap yarn, and are later picked up and finished for a totally seamless sleeve, with trim to the rest of the sweater. The lower body features a third motif before the tummy shaping, this motif may not fit in the shortest lengths. The shaping is customizable for your dog’s unique shape.

Sizing:

The sizes are based off the back and chest measurements, (taken across the widest part of the back and at the largest part of the rib cage). The armholes are generous – bigger is better when it comes to armholes!

ARCADE NIGHTS FINGERLESS MITTS

These fingerless mitts are worked seamlessly in the round from the cuff up, with stranded colorwork throughout. I used a 9” circular needle for the body of the mitts and DPNs for the thumb.

Charts show colors as featured in sample, a dark background helps the other colors to pop. These charts can be used for colorwork or duplicate stitch. If you choose duplicate stitch, you do not need to change your needle size at any time. If you choose colorwork, you will have to go down a needle size for stockinette stitch section.
